Improving the quality of life of individuals with Down syndrome.
HDSA's World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) Contest is open to all Public, Catholic and French Elementary and Secondary schools, and all Private Schools, throughout Halton regardless if you have a student with Down syndrome or not. Schools outside of Halton may also enter, if there is a student with Down syndrome or another family member who has an HDSA Membership. The ultimate goal is to spread awareness about Down syndrome and to help educate and shape young minds. The project is about building character and showing students the concepts of equality, empathy, respect, friendship, acceptance, and responsibility.
