In 1984, six families who all had children with Down syndrome came together to form the HDSA. Over the years the organization has grown and offered numerous programs and initiatives to help our young members with Down syndrome reach their true potential. On March 1st, the HDSA will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary at a gala event at the Holiday Inn in Burlington. Tickets have been available for current members for a couple of weeks now, and we're ready to open it up to family and friends of the HDSA. The gala promises to be a fun family event with the following line-up: a 3-piece string orchestra, a magician who performs "strolling magic", a full buffet, and a DJ dance party. We will also offer a mini-silent auction with amazing items such as Leafs tickets and a night at Horseshoe Resort.

Because of the hard work of parents and other supporters over the past 30 years, the HDSA has proven to be a leader among Down syndrome organizations in Canada. We invite you to come out on March 1st to celebrate our past successes and future initiatives.

Note: Individuals who have Down syndrome can attend for free, but they do require a ticket. We have a capacity of 300 and we're about one-third of the way there. Please register for your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. More details about the event can be found at the following link:  https://hdsagala.eventbrite.ca

If you have any questions, please contact Tricia at tricia@haltondownsyndrome.com
