World Down Syndrome Day Elementary School Contest:

HDSA has launched the World Down Syndrome Day Contest for Elementary Schools within the Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board to spread awareness about Down syndrome within our younger generation.  The contest encourages schools to choose a day in March to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (as the 21st falls on a Saturday during March Break) and to then put together a digital media presentation highlighting their celebration.  We will then select three winners who will receive $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 respectively to put toward technology or assistive technology for their schools.

Parents:

Please inquire about the contest in your child's school to help encourage participation.  Visit www.haltondownsyndrome.com/wdsd-contest for more information and printouts.

Educators:

Please visit www.haltondownsyndrome.com/wdsd-contest for information on how to bring this contest to your school, and for the chance to win up to $3000 to put towards technology!
