HDSA AGM and Wine Tasting 2010Minimize

  title

All HDSA members are invited to attend our first combined Annual General Meeting and wine tasting.**

This year's AGM aims to be an elegant mixture of business and pleasure. The goal is that HDSA members have the opportunity to become informed, inspired and connected.

About Sarah Goddard

The first 75 minutes will be dedicated to important AGM business, including an exciting progress report on our Strategic Planning process.

Following this, members can relax and reflect as they enjoy a professional wine tasting hosted by our own certified guest sommelier, Sarah Goddard. Three select South American wines will be matched by food parings prepared by Chartwell's own chef, Jim Duggan.

The wine tasting will be followed by a new, 16 minute award winning animated documentary film about four adult artists with Down syndrome. The film, called Tying Your Own Shoes, is described as "an artful, four-way essay about ability." Acclaimed film maker Shira Avni provides an "intimate glimpse into the exceptional mindsets and emotional lives" of its talented subjects.

The evening will be rounded out by time to network, mingle and connect with other members over wine and hors d'oeuvres.

The HDSA wishes to thank Sarah Goddard for her consultation and generous provision of professional sommelier services.

The HDSA also acknowledges Chartwell Classic Oakville for so grasciously providing meeting facilities along with other supports.
